Mary erzählt über ihr Praktikum im Kontaktepool

My name is Mary and I have been working in the Sprachencafe for the past 2 months as an Erasmus intern. My overall experience has been incredibly positive, since I have had the chance to meet new people and practice various languages. My general duties involve moderating the Greek table and assisting with the preparation and the smooth operation of the centre before, during and after the event. For instance, one of my favorite activities is baking, because I enjoy preparing food for other people and getting feedback regarding whether they liked it and what I could improve in the recipes. The whole concept of the Sprachencafe is really amazing and fun, because it gives you the chance to connect with people from different backgrounds and to be involved in a multicultural environment. Additionally, there are many languages that you can practice with native speakers through casual conversations. I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to work with the volunteers and the staff members in Kontaktepool. I would definitely suggest this experience to anyone who wants to participate in the project, either as a volunteer or as a visitor. The atmosphere is really welcoming and friendly. 😊
